Display Energy Certificates (DEC) & Assessments
All public buildings with a total useful floor area greater than 250m2 must have a Display Energy Certificate (DEC) and advisory report. It shows the public how energy-efficient the building is. DEC Certificates have a 10-year validity for buildings between 250m2 and 1000m2 and a 1-year validity for buildings over 1000m2.
DECs are a measure of the actual or operational energy performance of a public building such as a hospital, school, leisure centre, art gallery, museum or any other type of public building that is occupied by public authorities and frequently visited by members of the public. They rate the building’s actual energy performance against previous benchmarks taking into consideration the way the building is being used.
CCA Environmental provides expert DEC assessments for various public buildings. Our DECs measure actual energy performance, ensuring compliance and transparency.
